Birthdays, Sewing Machines and Submissions

This week has been rather busy. On Thursday it was my birthday, one more year and I’ll be thirty, the thought makes my heart beat fast and sweat break out on my forehead. Anyway I ended up going out with a bunch of friends, I’m not a great fan of going out and drinking alcohol but it was spurn of the moment and I thought it would be nice to spend my birthday doing something different. Anyway, there was random singing and some very odd drinks. I woke up in the morning with a headache and I felt delicate but since it was self inflicited I’m not asking for sympathy.

On Friday I heard from my dad. Now for the people who regularly read my blog you know that I love my dad, he is all kinds of awesome. He regularly helps me out with stuff, he made me my first computer, my first bike and my latest addition to the family, which is a sewing machine.

Now I asked my dad for the instruction manual or at least give me a crash course. After all I handsew, I have zero real experience with a machine. Unfortunately my dad seems to have a lot of faith in me. You’ll figure it out, I’m sure that the manual can be found somewhere online. The horrible truth is I think my dad must hate me, well maybe a teeny tiny bit. How can I drive my daughter insane? I know she likes to sew I can give her this infuritate machine. Mwah ha ha ha. The thing is this machine is older than I am. Actually it might have been new around the same time my dad was actually born. So it’s 50 plus years and I’m sure it hates me. Which is surprising since I usually get along well with OAPs.

The only way to tackle it is to go to a sewing shop and get a lesson. I will not be beaten by this machine. I will make beautiful dresses and christmas gifts. This is WAR…okay enough of the dramatics.

My latest story ‘The Schoolteacher and the Dom’ has been picked up by Evernight Publishing for their Romance on the Go line. These stories range between 8k-12k, they are meant to be read in one sitting.  I like the story of Nora Pryce and Alex Winchester, it’s very hot but it has some funny moments in it.

My latest bit of news involves my Molly O’Brien series. I wrote the first novella two years ago and I’m happy to say that I’m halfway through edits for its sequel. So I hope you’ll all have a look at the first story in Molly’s series ‘What a Way to Start the Day.’ I’ll keep you updated on ‘An Impossible Task’ as and when I start to know release dates and cover art.

Hope you all have a good week.
