This is my second superhero Wednesday, the first one celebrated Stephen Amnell and today it’s Henry Cavill’s turn. I can tell you it certainly wasn’t easy finding a picture of this guy I wanted to use, hell I wanted to use all of them.
In the end I settled for him a suit. I usually like a well dressed man, half naked, oiled up or a well placed towel…I’m not picky. Something about a suit always leaves me tongue-tied.
Okay so Henry Cavill played Superman/Clark Kent in the latest Superman movie, he’s also going to be playing him in the Superman VS Batman movie and in the Justice League movie. I grew up with Christopher Reeve and then crushed on Tom Welling’s version. Its always a difficult role to play I think, most of the actors never seem to do anything big after the role, not that I’m aware of but if you know different leave me a comment so I can inform myself.
Also any suggestions for the next Superhero Wednesday let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
It’s late on Sunday night and it’s been a busy day away from my computer, which is the only reason I have to forget to post this. Apologises but I do hope that the picture of Stephen Amnell/Oliver Queen made up for it.
The Raven’s Kill was my first attempt at a bird shifter and I enjoyed writing it. If you like your men to break the rules for a beautiful woman, then this is the story for you.
The only thing Cassandra Stirling could hear was the beat of her heart. Patrick might have said something, but she couldn’t hear him over the heavy thudding in her chest. Fear welled up inside of her, tainted with desire. The way the man looked at her, a smile that made her body tight with need. It had been instant and it vibrated in every part of her.

Have a great Sunday folks and make sure to check it on Wednesday to check out Superhero Wednesday.
Welcome to my new weekly event which will feature some of the sexiest superheroes on tv at the moment. The first is Stephen Amnell, as the Arrow. Who hasn’t watched him do those bar things and thought wow?
When I first heard about the new series I wasn’t interested, I liked the portray of the character on Smallville and Justin Hartley’s version of it(though I preferred Oliver Queen on the cartoon, Justice League Unlimited to be honest). Now I’m firmly on Team Amnell, he certainly is a new breed of star with a strong interaction with his fans.
Anyway enough of that, here’s the picture, enjoy.
Yes the picture of him in the towel is totally deliberate 😉
I nearly forgot to post this again but thankfully I’ve just remembered and it’s before midnight on Saturday…so I’m organized, right? 🙂
The Schoolteacher and the Dom was my first foray into BDSM, it’s light and playful, Nola and Alex are still my favourite characters in this world and their story concluded in Weekend with the Dom, which was harder and had more BDSM elements to it.
Here’s the snippet.
“That woman that you asked me to keep an eye out for, she arrived about ten minutes ago.”
Alex couldn’t help a rare flash of anger but he stifled it quickly. It wasn’t the man’s fault Alex was impatient to see her. “What’s she wearing?”
The man smiled. “She’s hard to miss. She looks like Alice from Alice in Wonderland. She’s wearing a blue dress, white corset and blue heels. Last time I saw her she was heading towards the bar.”
Alex let go off the breath that he’d been holding. She was here. Half the battle was already won. Now it was time to try and win the other half
Thanks for stopping by. If you prefer something light and fun, a man wanting to introduce a woman to his world and only partially succeeding, then you’ll love this story.
It’s currently on sale at ARc

Three years is a long time to be away from your mate.
Mari has been living half a life.
A doctor before she was infected with the werewolf virus, Mari is now the target of a deranged serial killer. The night held one bright moment, she met Daniel Greyborn, the other half of her soul.
Daniel wants a life time with his mate.
He made a difficult decision when he left Mari with the Black Paw Pack. When he finds a body on his compound he knows that Ryback is back and it’s time to finish what happened three years ago.
But are they about to underestimate a killer?
Guarding Mari is the 2nd story in the popular Black Paw Pack story. I hope my readers, new and old, enjoy this one just as much as Kat and Adam’s story in Saving Kat. The release date hasn’t been confirmed but I’ll keep you updated.
One of my bedtime routines with my son, after all the boring stuff, like brushing his teeth and washing his face, is to read him a story. I have to admit with my workload I don’t get much time to read stories myself, generally keeping to short stories. This ritual with my son has opened my eyes to many different stories and I’m more likely to read books aimed at kids these days.
The last story I read for Nathan was Eoin Colfer’s Artemis Fowl and the Artic Incident. I enjoyed reading and it stuck in my son’s mind. When we finished that one he asked for more stories about the thirteen year old criminal mastermind. Yesterday we went to the library and just my luck I couldn’t find anymore in the series. I even checked the charity shops, because I wouldn’t mind buying them, especially if Nathan likes reading when he’s older. I was just about to call it quits when I saw a silvery book on the shelf. A Doctor Who Anthology. I’m not a hard-core Whovian but I do watch the series, read the occasional comic and book (also wouldn’t mind writing one myself) but Nathan knows Doctor Who and the first writer was Eoin Colfer, which was enough to sway Nathan into letting this be his bedtime read.
Each Doctor has an story in the anthology and they got a great selection of writers to do it, barring two I know of all of them. I’m looking forward to reading Derek Landy (Skulduggery Pleasant Series) and Neil Gaiman’s stories, who are writing the tenth and eleventh Doctors.
The First Doctor: A Big Hand for the Doctor. It was a clever story, unfortunately I saw the twist coming before the reveal. This story’s intended audience is probably for kids, around 12 years old. So for them they might not see the twist until the epilogue. I won’t give it away just in case you want to read the story for yourself. The world building was interesting, set in Victorian England and the story featured Soul Pirates, not the brightest brunch but with a lot of funny names, like Igby and Gomb, which I’m sure Nathan will pop into a sentence at some point this week. It also had the Doctor’s granddaughter, Susan in it.
In total I would give this story 3.5. There were a lot of long sentences which didn’t make reading it out loud easy but it’s a worthy addition to the world of Who.
I’ll post a review for the second story on Friday.
